Playa Desnuda is a band formed in 2005 in Udine, North East of Italy.
They can count on a large audience in their area, but they have also performed around half Europe in clubs and festivals, including some editions of Rototom Sunsplash and opening acts of artists like Fatboy Slim, Bob Sinclar, Max Romeo and Manu Chao, who also wanted them for a jam in 2014.
They have recorded three albums and the last one, released in 2016, is called “10” like the ten songs they produced with Christian Rigano (Jovanotti, Tiziano Ferro, Elisa and many more). They use to sing in italian, english and spanish and get inspired by jamaican music, pushing its boundaries and mixing it with electronic rhythms, latin and italian music, some brit pop, rhythm and blues and rap. In their album, they’ve collaborated with the dancehall president Skarra Mucci, with the South African poet and performer Natalia Molebatsi, with the italian reggae ambassador Bunna (Africa Unite) and with the guitar player Riccardo Onori (Jovanotti, Mike Patton).
Their last song is called "Cosa Resta", published on May 2023.
