Martin Andres, the creative musical force behind Pomegranate Tiger, along with his swiss army knife sideman guitarist Matt Shaheen, a Canadian instrumental progressive metal project, embark on a captivating musical journey with their experimental masterpieces.
Born from a lifelong fascination with music, Martin Andres grew up playing drums & guitar since he was 6 years old. At the age of 20 he joined forces with like-minded musicians at the University of Windsor in Canada. Together in 2010, they form Pomegranate Tiger, fusing their talents to explore uncharted musical territories.
After years of writing, Pomegranate Tiger released their debut record, "Entities." This transformative album conquered the progressive metal scene, becoming a #1 chart-topping sensation on Bandcamp & iTunes, and garnering praise for its progressive metal fusion.
The follow up record "Boundless" emerges in 2015 as a testament to their unwavering passion and secures a prominent spot on the charts.
After a long hiatus, Pomegranate Tiger returned with the mesmerizing rhythmic roller coaster "The Cryptographer" late in 2022, offering a glimpse into their artistic evolution.
Since then Martin & his longtime guitarist sideman Matt Shaheen have been working on new music. With the third and newest record, Pomegranate Tiger prepares to unleash their innovative soundscapes titled "All Input Is Error" on Sept 7 2023, reminding the world that true artistry knows no bounds.
