PoP Kulture is an American actor, singer, rapper, producer and writer from Camden, New Jersey. The origin of his name stems from an acronym he created titled ‘Purpose Over Passion', which means he likes to live his life guided by a clear and God-driven force, despite the ambiguous nature of society. Growing up in one of the most dangerous cities in America, he needed an outlet in order to escape his environment, so he began to pursue a career in the entertainment business. His first major opportunity landed in early 2013, when he was hired as an intern and recording engineer at the world-famous Sigma Sound Studios in Philadelphia. This led him to rub shoulders with the likes of John Legend, J. Cole, Meek Mill, Pink Sweat$, etc. In 2020, he released his debut EP ‘Honey Moon’ featuring hit-single “Don’t Hurt Yourself” and created the #DontHurtYourselfChallenge which has been the primary focus of the promotional campaign. Through the distribution of short videos, memes and comedy-based content, PoP has garnered over 40 million social media impressions for the challenge, along with the attention and or support from other superstars such as George Lopez, DL Hughley, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Mike Epps, Wanda Sykes, Cedric The Entertainer, Niecy Nash, Tiffany Haddish, Wood Harris and many more.
