Portair is an Australian-born, Los Angeles-based indie/folk artist whose music blends ambient textures with introspective songwriting. With over 50 million streams across platforms, Portair has garnered acclaim from Rolling Stone, American Songwriter, Atwood Magazine, Paste, and more. His 2023 EP, The Place To Start, recorded in Joshua Tree, explores existential themes and features collaborations with Joshua Keogh (Amber Run), Keaton Henson, VÉRITÉ, WYNNE, and Emily James.
Since his independent debut in 2018, Portair has composed original scores and contributed music to programming on Netflix, NBC, MTV, CBS, and more. His breakout 2020 single “Lying To Myself” amassed millions of streams, paving the way for EPs like The Light That Gives (2021) and The Ice That Breaks (2022). His track “Gloaming Hour” achieved viral success on TikTok, introducing his sound to a global audience.
Portair’s music has also been featured in multiple renowned TV shows including two placements in Grey’s Anatomy.
