prettyboyshav is both an artist and a founder 🦋 born in india and moving to singapore and malaysia before the united states, shav became comfortable being the new kid and being different. growing up as an immigrant in new york, it was not long before shav found his home in music as an outlet for his emotions and for his mind. being an artist growing up, shav could not help but write songs and eventually he began to write a bigger vision to help build a better world for artists like himself. as an artist, shav’s debut album “too pretty for sunshine” crossed 10M streams and embodies the values of hope, freedom, and self-belief. however these values and these songs are a mirror to his life as a founder, where he hopes to enable freedom for artists who want to build their careers while owning their own music. indify is a startup shav cofounded with his childhood best friends connor lawrence and matt pavia to help emerging artists raise funding from independent partners on equitable terms as an alternative to the traditional music industry. powered by an industry standard discovery tool that first identified artists like Khalid at an early-stage, indify has helped emerging artists reach 10B+ streams independently all while keeping ownership of their music. indify’s core belief is that “artists are founders” but in today’s world are not respected as such. as both an artist and founder, prettyboyshav hopes to pave a new path for musicians and to lead them to a brighter future ☀️
