Chasing bigger dreams, the duo briefly called New York City home, until the pandemic rerouted them to an unlikely creative haven: William’s grandma’s house. This period of unexpected retreat led to some of their most inspired tracks yet, including the soaring anthem “it can’t be the end of the world yet” and the introspective “Float.”
Now settled in D.C., Staring in Spaces released their boldest and most ambitious album yet, Kissing!, at the end of 2024. Featuring standout singles like the punchy “my mom/your dad” and the nostalgic “Postcard,” the album pushes their pop sensibilities into rougher textures and edgier performances. With a successful tour behind them and energized audiences craving more, Wright and Lorenz are diving headfirst into 2026.
