Born and based in Stoke-on-Trent in the West Midlands, UK, an area with a strong working class ethic, alternative rock band Psyence have built their reputation from their hard working DIY ethic and endless touring.

Psyence's thundering self-titled debut album was released in August 2019 to critical acclaim. Uber Rock said "If the Foo Fighters managed to be impregnated by Pink Floyd and begot music producing offspring, they would probably sound something along the lines of Psyence."

Lead single 'Cold Blooded Killer' featured in US TV show 'SEAL Team' in 2020 and in Netflix hit show 'Pieces of Her' in March '22, creating a whole new audience for the band's music.

During the 2020 pandemic and unable to tour, Psyence returned to their studio to continue writing. They released the 'Reality or Design' EP in March 2021.

In September 2022 Psyence released their second album, 'Lessons in Forgetting Everything (L.I.F.E).' Backstreet Mafia said "L.I.F.E is mature, expressive, beautiful and joyous all at once. It's brilliant. 9.5/10”.

After a hiatus to deal with personal issues, Psyence returned with new single 'The Ocean' in Nov 2023.

Psyence are Steve Pye (lead vocals, guitars), Jamie Bellingham (bass), Joe Walsh (drums), Ben Nixon (keys) and Jamie Cartlidge (rhythm guitar, vocals).
