Rabbit Season started as late night jamming sessions in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Andres Cottin was going to college in Orlando, but when the pandemic started, he moved to Fort Lauderdale. There he would regularly jam with his close childhood friends. One day, Gustavo Garcia (who is a childhood friend as well) showed up with a guitar to the gathering. This was a surprise because he went to college in Denver. At 3am that night, Andres and Gustavo set up a microphone, and started playing guitar. The words started flowing as if they were already written. The first song "No Attention" was created.
After that day, there was real excitement to see what other songs would emerge.
For a year and a half, the pair were writing songs non-stop, but were insecure about their sound. They would only show their songs to their friends and family.
Eventually, their creative search led to re-recording their favorite tracks, with the purpose of finding a sound that more closely resembled their influences (The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Velvet Underground, The Beach Boys, Motown Records, etc.).
