Nicknamed Radical by his mother due to some extraordinary experiences he had as a child. He survived a deadly childhood virus, was poisoned and lived, was ran over by a moving heavy duty truck at the age of 17 on July 7. He was pronounced dead at the scene but woke up in the morgue; this was the rebirth of the man Olaonipekun and the birth of Radical77.
Born in Nigeria and raised between Nigeria and the UK. His versatility is always evident in his work such that he's comfortable with both singing and rapping. He aims to produce uplifting sounds with lyrics that convey a positive message. His early influences include the likes of Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Yossou Ndour, Lionel Richie, Michael Jackson and Tupac Shakur.
Radical77 has gone on to release a catalogue of great music since his very first official release in 2011.
