Ralfe Band is formed of Oly Ralfe and other collaborators.
Their debut album 'Swords' was released in UK in 2006 by Skint Records and elsewhere in Europe in 2007 by Talitres, with Mojo awarding a 4-star review, calling it "a whiskey-soured folk trip from east to west.. .Ralfe's moon-eyed beauty is simply the work of one vivid imagination". The second album 'Attic Thieves' was released in 2008 by Loose and Talitres Records.
In 2010 Ralfe Band created the soundtrack for the feature film Bunny and the Bull written and directed by Paul King (Paddington, Wonka). The soundtrack album to was also released in 2010. The 8/10 NME review, said of it "The 22 tracks here recall the deft melancholy of the Amelie soundtrack... The kind of regally drunk spirit last heard on David Dundas' equally fine Withnail & I soundtrack. Score!"
Their third album, 'Son Be Wise' was released by Highline Records in 2013. After time on spent on other projects 2019 saw the return of Ralfe Band with new single Sweating It Out, one of BBC6 Music DJ Marc Riley's tracks of the year.
In 2023 the new album 'Achilles Was a Hound Dog' was released by Talitres Records. Record Collector magazine gave the album a four star review and described it as 'His strongest array of songs..punchy finely crafted tunes' Also in 2023 Ralfe Band supported Gaz Coombes on tour in Europe.
