Disciples of the Jedi Mind Tricks variety of angst-driven hardcore hip-hop, members Lucky, Randola, and Stadi Majadi first launched Randam Luck in 2000, eventually turning into staples in San Diego's local rap scene. They generated their fan base almost exclusively from their numerous live performances. Throughout the 2000s, the trio has appeared as opening acts for the likes of KRS-One, the Wu-Tang Clan, and Tha Alkaholiks.
