Rashi Harmalkar ; born on 13th January, 2004 in Mumbai , Maharashtra to parents Salil and Renuka Harmalkar . Grew up enjoying her childhood with her elder brother Chinmay. Is presently pursuing her studies in Mumbai.
Her Grandmother, Late Smt.Neeta Kishor Harmalkar, who was seen performing in TV Shows on Doordarshan in 1980’s had noticed her responding to music while in cradle. And so, it didn’t take much time for her parents to discover her potential in singing as she started growing up.
At the age of 3, She started her basic lessons in Music from her first Guru Smt. Veena Bhilegaonkar. At the age of five she started getting formal training in Hindustani Classical Music from Suresh Wadkar’s Ajivasan, Mumbai and also Varsha Bhave’s Kalangan, Mumbai. She has also been guided by known Musicologist and Notation-Guru Shri Arvind Mukhedkarji. To add to her musical skills, she is enjoying learning Piano and Guitar from Furtados School of Music . She loves composing and producing music.
She is blessed to learn from her Guru Pandit Suresh Wadkarji and Smt. Padma Wadkarji.
She has given play – back for the serial ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala‘, The voice behind Kulfi on Star Plus.
Rashi has completed her Visharadh in Semi – Classical Music from Pune Bharat Gayan Samaj at the age of 15.
