As with most dance music enthusiasts, love for the genre starts at home. For duo Rathbone Place, a family record shop being conveniently located opposite Rathbone Arts Club - the creative hub located just off London’s famous Oxford Street - meant that their exposure to music was second-to-none.

Influences from club nights such as Trade, Saturday Social and The Gallery at Turnmills Nightclub in East London, where seminal artists Orbital, Chemical Brothers and Faithless played the music coming out of the record shop, filtered down through generations of the family sparking new inspirations and, in turn, productions. ‘Be Free’ - the duo’s debut - came to soundtrack the summer of 2021 thanks to support of tastemakers such as Annie Mac and Danny Howard.

Fast forward to today, and the duo continue to reference sounds that came out of the club and record shop. Rathbone Place embark on a new chapter marked by the release of ‘Fallin’’ – a euphoric, progressive-leaning track laced with fervent chimes and a nostalgic vocal, already receiving support from the likes of Armin van Buuren, who described the track as ‘one of [his] favourite tunes this year so far’.
