Reefa was signed to Positive Tone in 1998 for the ground-breaking hiphop/rnb compilation album Tricks & Tales featuring Innuendo, Poetic Ammo and Ferhad. He then went on to be the 1st solo rapper in Malaysia to release a full length album “The Key Of R” in 2000, which was nominated for the Best English Album category at the AIM 2001. Reefa also won the award for the “Most Performed English Song” at the 2002 MACP Awards and then again in 2004 making him the 1st artiste to win that award twice. He has also performed alongside international stars like Mel C, Lil Jon, The Roots, John Legend, Mc Akyil ( Jurassic 5 ), Sugar Ray, Madison Avenue, DJ Shortee Blitz and many others.
