NICO G is made up of three Kampung Baru born named Nico, Dino & Affa. The group was established in 1991 when BMG Music offered them album recording deal after winning a rap battle competition.
NICO G is the first local group to produce Hip Hop music in Malaysia and is popular for their signature G-Funk and Street Beat sound. NICO G have recorded three albums between 1992 - 1996 including chart hits such as Inilah Nasibku, Public Figure, Kaulah Gadisku, Engkau dan Aku, and many more.
The group took separate ways after their third album but made a comeback in 2014 with a single called Belia Perwira. Their song Inilah Nasibku became a hit once again when it was made the official theme song for a film called Showdown The Movie.
In 2017, NICO G celebrated their 25th year anniversary with a single called Dunia Alam Fana which they recorded with the first artiste under their recording label NICO G Entertainment. Recently, NICO G released two new songs from their upcoming album BLACK EDITION, title KGB (short for Kampung Baru) and Siaga.
