Relish are a Northern Irish rock band composed of brothers Kenny and Carl Papenfus, and until 2013 Darren Campbell. The band are perhaps best known for the albums "Wildflowers" (Platinum), "Karma Calling" (Gold) and songs "Rainbow Zephyr", "You I'm Thinking Of" and "Got It Made". The former was covered by Westlife with slightly changed lyrics and released as a single "Hey Whatever", which went on to become an international hit. Fans of the band include Brian May of Queen and Larry Mullen Jr of U2. The Papenfus brothers are the offspring of a mixed South African marriage which resulted in them settling in Belfast, Northern Ireland in the early 1970s. The Papenfus' sons early musical upbringing was augmented by their parents record collection of jazz, gospel + world music and 1960s rock; their only possession brought from South Africa. Following a series of auditions in the Papenfus’ living room in front of a number of record company A&R personnel, the band signed to EMI Ireland and recorded with producers John Leckie (Stone Roses, Radiohead) and Al Clay (Stereophonics, Pixies). Live appearances have included Slane Castle by personal invitation from Larry Mullen Jnr. Side projects for the Papenfus brothers include performing for Paul Weller, Sinead O'Connor, Paul Brady, Julian Joseph, Steafan Hanvey, HAL, The Answer, production for Sinead O'Connor, Grainne Duffy and co-writes on the soundtrack for Golden Globe nominee Sing Street.
