A French industrial and experimental black metal outfit, Reverence formed in 1998. Their first demo was released in 2001 (Winds of North) and a second (Wenn die Nacht Kommt) followed in 2003, which was then followed by a series of split releases with Blut Aus Nord (2003's Decorporation), Wolok, and Sof (2004's Anti-Life Terror). In 2005, after signing a deal with French extreme metal label Dead Sun, Reverence released their debut album, Industrial Metal Concept. Another split release followed soon after -- entitled Dissociated Human Junction, the collection featured Bloodoline, Blut Aus Nord, and Karras, and was released on Panik Terror Music in 2007. Their diligence and hard work soon paid off, as the band took a step up, signing to Avantgarde Music, which later that year released Chamber of Divine Elaboration, the second album by Reverence -- at this point made up of I. Luciferia (vocals, guitar), Aym (bass), and Vincent Roubiere (drums). ~ Chris True, Rovi
