“I just told Richie we rich!” from Gunna’s 2017 track “Rich Bitch” became the tagline for Atlanta-based producer Richie Souf, known for his work with Future, Young Thug, Gunna, Juice WRLD, and Playboi Carti.

Richie’s passion for music production ignited at 12, inspired by Hustle & Flow (2005). A friend’s gift of FL Studio fueled his creativity, leading to early success with Soulja Boy’s 2011 track “Rollin” and MadeinTYO’s 2015 hit “I Want,” cementing his reputation.

In 2015, Richie was introduced to Future, who was seeking a fresh sound post his Drake collaboration. Impressed by Richie’s unique style, Future signed him as the first producer to his label, Freebandz. Their collaboration produced hits like “All da Smoke” with Young Thug, alongside tracks like Gunna’s “Top Off,” Chris Brown’s “High End,” and A Boogie wit da Hoodie’s “Demons and Angels.”

Richie maintains an enigmatic persona, concealing his face with long, blonde hair to focus attention on his music. In a 2016 FADER interview, he explained, “It’s mysterious… it makes people want to come to me more.” This anonymity amplifies intrigue, distinguishing him in the industry.
