After playing guitar and bass in various projects (<a href="spotify:artist:1zcDOsEwhB7c2ya1iyZbUw" data-name="Loud Lines">Loud Lines</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:543Cldi9b8gAtaX2nrzsBi" data-name="Tribe Jackson">Tribe Jackson</a>) over the years, Brett had a desire to try his hand at the helm of a musical project, untethered to any one sonic fingerprint. Riot Collective was born in 2023, beginning with short instrumentals in the veins of punk and softer indie rock, often bringing in friends and frequent collaborators (<a href="spotify:artist:7d7iDFqggwewJO6ajHoFJ1" data-name="Quinn S.">Quinn S.</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:7FzZf6YIg39FUCqxHAQHwG" data-name="Hereafter">Hereafter</a>) to help develop and bring these visions to life.
