RODERIK takes its name from Edgar Allan Poe’s The Fall of the House of Usher, a fitting tribute to the band’s introspective and emotional depth. Founded by Jake Anthony Salazar and David P.K. on Long Island, NY, RODERIK found new momentum in late 2023 with the addition of Steve Ambro solidifying their lineup in New Jersey.
Blending post-hardcore intensity with genre-bending influences from pop, hip-hop, emo, and R&B, RODERIK crafts music that explores mental health, anxiety, and personal struggle with raw honesty.
In June 2024, they released Intrusive Thoughts, featuring “Pretty/Lost,” “RICIN,” and the breakout single “Where’d You Go” (feat. Joshua Roberts of Magnolia Park), which has surpassed 115,000 streams on Spotify.
Closing out 2024 and kicking off 2025, RODERIK followed up with two new singles: <a href="spotify:album:5C8jampuDSWhTTS4IoEWzF" data-name="Everything">Everything</a>, <a href="spotify:track:0BmUVBFRdbe76LmJ96fyjN" data-name="Let Go">Let Go</a> Featuring <a href="spotify:artist:6bmGjHSXH8rPaZ2iQhgNQ0" data-name="Telltale">Telltale</a>, and All or Nothing further expanding their dynamic and emotionally charged sound.
With an unwavering passion for pushing musical boundaries, RODERIK continues to carve out their space in the modern alternative scene.
