Roger Helou born in 1978, Buenos Aires.
In 2001 he founded the SILENCIO Tango Orchestra, which has recorded to these days 5 albums and one DVD. This ensemble, dedicated to the traditional argentine tango, has visited major cities throughout Europe.
Since 2001, Roger has been working as coach of many ensembles all over Europe, and has been invited to work as a teacher for specialized argentine-music workshops in many cityes, like Paris, Berlin, Malmo, Toulouse and elsewhere (see www.silenciotango.com/teaching).
In Argentina, he has worked with Cuarteto Cedron as a pianist and arranger, collaborating in 3 of their Cds. Roger furnished symphonic arrangements for different projects, like « Thuringer Symphoniker », Nathalie Clein, and « Sinfónica Patagonia ».
In 2013-2014 he has been working as music programmer of the most important tango radio in Argentina, La 2x4.
The orchestra SILENCIO has also found its pad into the musical scene of the city Buenos Aires during the last few years.
In December 2019 he was invited by the “Orquesta Nacional de Música Argentina Juan de Dios Filiberto” as a director, to conduct his own orchestrations in the national concert hall “CCK”.
