Scottish singer-songwriter <a href="spotify:artist:5ePOH20nPLAGlOCqSNMpYd" data-name="Roseanne Reid">Roseanne Reid</a> releases her deeply personal new double A-side single on 19th August 2026 — a first glimpse into her forthcoming third studio album, exploring grief, resilience and hope. Days later, on 30 August, she reunites with longtime mentor Steve Earle as his special guest at the Princess Alexandra Auditorium in Yarm. The full album follows in 2027.
Reid has spent a decade building a reputation as one of Scotland’s most compelling songwriters, blending folk, Americana and country with warmth, honesty and a distinctive voice. Her 2023 album Lawside, shaped by the pandemic and new motherhood, was nominated for UK Album of the Year at the UK Americana Awards. Named for her Dundee neighbourhood, it followed her acclaimed 2019 debut, Trails, which featured “Sweet Annie,” a duet with <a href="spotify:artist:2UBTfUoLI07iRqGeUrwhZh" data-name="Steve Earle">Steve Earle</a> that has amassed over a million streams.
Born in Leith and raised in Edinburgh — the eldest daughter of Craig Reid — she began performing at folk clubs from age twelve. Her music has since reached wider audiences through “Hallucinate” on Love Island UK, the Sing Up Day theme, and the documentary Love & …., alongside tours supporting Earle and <a href="spotify:artist:3Q8wgwyVVv0z4UEh1HB0KY" data-name="Jason Isbell">Jason Isbell</a>.
With her most personal music yet on the way, Roseanne Reid’s next chapter promises to be her most significant.
