His playing is unfailingly elegant and optimistic.” (Fanfare Magazine)Born in Tirana (Albania), Rudens Turku studied with Ana Chumachenco at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich. Encounters with personalities such as Neeme Järvi, Ida Haendel and Yehudi Menuhin have shaped him both artistically and personally.
Rudens Turku has performed in important concert halls such as Wigmore Hall London, CAMI Hall New York, Philharmonie im Münchner Gasteig and at the renowned music festivals in Germany. He has performed worldwide as a soloist and chamber musician with partners such as Julia Fischer, Alban Gerhard, Arabella Steinbacher, Ana Chumachenco, Lisa Batiashvili, Eduard Brunner, András Adorján, Oliver Schnyder, Quatuor Ebène, Capella Instropolitana, Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, Munich Chamber Orchestra and Munich Symphony Orchestra a.o.
In addition to master classes all over the world, Turku teaches a violin classes in Feldkirch/Austria and since 2015 in Biella/Italy with lasting success. At national and international competitions, his students repeatedly rank among the first prize winners.
Rudens Turku is the founder and artistic director of the Starnberger Musiktage and the Musiktage der Olympiaregion Seefeld. "Friends of Rudens Turku e.V." promotes young musicians. In 2013 Rudens Turku was awarded the Culture Prize of the Starnberg district.
