Ryoshi (stylized Ryõshi and former King Of None) is a metal quartet with the mission of bringing you on a brutal yet melodic musical adventure. The band plays a distinct form of progressive metalcore blending elements from various metal genres such as djent, deathcore, metalcore, progressive metal and melodic death metal to cite a few. Hailing from Mauritius, the band consists of Alison Mootien (lead guitar), William Shawn Luk Heap (drums/percussions), Bertrand Hérisson (bass guitar) and Jean Claude Félix (vocalist)
The name Ryoshi can be subjected to multiple interpretations and the quartet leaves the door open for fans to choose how they perceive the band. Ryoshi in Japanese means fisherman, however ‘ryo’ means excel and ‘shi’ means master.
