Saccades is the solo project of Nicholas Wood, one half of the acclaimed electronic duo The KVB.
In 2017, Wood introduced Saccades with a self-titled debut album, departing from the dark soundscapes of The KVB to embrace stripped-back, psychedelic melodies and bedroom pop influences.
The project's follow-up, Flowing Fades, was released in April 2021, accompanied by a UK tour. With this album, Wood expanded his sonic palette, incorporating influences of Yacht Rock along with the sounds vintage synthesizers, while maintaining the relaxed and carefree style of the project.
In 2023, Saccades returned with Land of the Hearth, a more electronic and Balearic-leaning record that retained the blissed-out qualities that Saccades has become known for. The album weaves together sun-soaked vibes with subtle undercurrents of tension.
In 2025, Saccades unveiled a series of singles, including “Sightseer” and “Greek Fire”, which explored a more lo-fi pop sound with heavy hauntological influences. The tracks blend a woozy, nostalgic production and preserve the ethereal, introspective core of Saccades’ identity.
