Saigon Kick formed in Miami in 1988. The band played around the region and signed with Third Stone/Atlantic in 1990. Saigon Kick's self-titled debut LP was a critic and fan favorite but the following year's album, The Lizard, broke Saigon Kick with the number 12 single "Love Is on the Way". The Lizard went gold as well.
Just days after the album’s release, Chris McLernon joined for the year long Lizard tour. With 1993's Water, Saigon Kick tread new and diverse territory, while increasing their popularity in Asia and Europe. In 1994, Saigon Kick signed with Pony Canyon and released the band's fourth album, Devil in the Details (1995) which was released in America by CMC International.
