Born high up among the mountains of the Pollino in Calabria, Santino de Bartolo adheres to the tradition of the Italian 'Cantautore' – a singer-songwriter who combines poetry and songs about protest, life, and longing.
Being part of the Arbëreshë community, a long-standing Albanian minority in the south of Italy, he has also written songs in the Arbëreshë language, many of which have become evergreens and traditionals. Santino de Bartolo has collaborated with many internationally renowned artists such as Donovan, Fairport Convention, Maartin Allcock, Allan Taylor, Ilir Shaqiri, and many more.
