Amana aka Sasha Laine fell in love with music as a child. She was six years old when she recalls hearing Whitney Houston ’I will always love you’ on the radio. That was the moment she decided she wanted to sing.
She grew up learning from legends like Whitney Houston, Aaliyah, Celion Dion, Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Toni Braxton, SWV, Lauryn Hill, Stevie Wonder and many more. She was drawn to R&B/Soul, but appreciated and loved music of all kinds.
At age 14 she was presented her first record contract. She knew she had a gift to be reckoned with.
“Even though I was a singer, Tupac was my greatest inspiration. He was my favorite artist growing up. He is my goat.” Amana’s aim was to follow in his footsteps and make music she was passionate about. “Pac showed me what it mean’t to have heart in the game. I’ve had a lot of ups and downs in my life and I wanted my music to reflect my truth. Even before I started writing my own lyrics I wanted people to feel me.”
Her talent led her to travel to LA, NYC, & ATL. Each place had a different vibe and essence musically.
In 2018 she released her debut single 'Running Away'. Her fans revered her sound as fresh, soulful, and timeless, her music is a mix of old and new school R&B.
She released a project 'Now Or Never' in 2022 and one more in 2023 ‘All Or Nothing’ under her former artist name Sasha Laine.
It seems it was destined for Amana to make an impact with her music.
She is working on her very first Album!
