Savana Funk

ALDO, BLAKE and YOUSSEF (Italy, England and Morocco) met each other in spring 2015 in Bologna, Italy. It became immediately apparent to them that they shared a special bond. The trio, since its inception, started playing many live gigs and experimenting with original material.
Playing alongside international artists (<a href="spotify:artist:0L8ExT028jH3ddEcZwqJJ5" data-name="Red Hot Chili Peppers">Red Hot Chili Peppers</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3u9rbdcmA6CxjxOAkjaeFr" data-name="Kokoroko">Kokoroko</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:20qISvAhX20dpIbOOzGK3q" data-name="Nas">Nas</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:00CsjN69YCczmdW0bDKaCC" data-name="Willie Peyote">Willie Peyote</a>), seeing them live onstage is the best way to appreciate the spirit of the group. A mixture of funk, rock, jazz, African music and strong melodies characterizes their entire discography.
They have released 5 albums: &#34;Musica Analoga” (2016, self-produced), &#34;Savana Funk” (2017), &#34;Bring in the New&#34; (2018), &#34;Tindouf&#34; (2021), and their fifth and latest album, “GHIBLI” (2022), to great acclaim (record label Garrincha Gogo).
In 2023 they released “Ghibli: the remixes”, an EP containing remixes by various well known producers / djs like <a href="spotify:artist:4VPauFDuyMnoakRnCPmcgP" data-name="Gaudi">Gaudi</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5LExfPIVArSHdWN83U4STI" data-name="Bruno Belissimo">Bruno Belissimo</a>.
Summer 2019 saw SAVANA FUNK performing at the JovaBeach-Party festivals alongside internationally acclaimed Italian artist <a href="spotify:artist:7tmMPdOmFvdRvbj2aWoiRi" data-name="Jovanotti">Jovanotti</a> to audiences of close to 40k people. Also in 2019 they featured twice on the prestigious TV program Propaganda Live, performing live to millions of viewers worldwide.

Savana Funk’s concert is based on groove and is ready to pull it’s audiences into dance and trance frenzies for nearly two hours of irresistible psychedelic instrumental funk.
