Schattenspiel combines cello with electronic dance music in a live audiovisual experience. The artists take the audience on a journey through diverse worlds of light and sound. A space is created where you are invited to dance, dream and explore while the boundaries between techno, classical and world music are dissolving around you.
Too electronic and dance driven for the concert hall? Too complex and soulful for the average club? The three Berliners don’t fit in any existing box therefore they’ve embarked on their own quest: producer Paul David Heckhausen, cellist Gábor Hartyáni and light artist Tjard Wobig are researching and building bridges between concert halls and clubs, electronic and acoustic music, improvisation and composition and the worlds of light and shadow.
In 2022 the project relaunched with their new project name NORLYZ. Look for NORLYZ to find all up to date info about the project.
