Scrooge Owens

Scrooge Owens (born Dayshawn Owens) is a multi-talented emcee from the birth place of Hip-Hop - Bronx, New York. At the age of 9, Scrooge began rapping, influenced by his bigger brother. After his high-school years he formed the rap-group named Ghostland Dynasty and began touring after their debut album "The Unknown". Unfortunately, Ghostland Dynasty broke up in 1999 but the end of Ghostland only meant the beginning of Scrooge Owens solo career.

In the early 2000's Scrooge won first place in the "Studio Y Me Battle" of New York two times in a row. Unfortunately the street life caught up to him and he was sentenced to prison, at one point facing the death penalty. After spending 8 years incarcerated, Scrooge was released from Federal Prison in 2011 and since then he remained productive and kept climbing, establishing himself as an international artist.
