Norrköping-based Secondhand Daylight has its roots in the Swedish post-punk era of the 1980s with the band <a href="spotify:artist:3enCg8ZGn3Pw6fLYAJzb4R" data-name="Pleasurehouse">Pleasurehouse</a>. After years of silence, Niklas Larsson resumed his music career in 2009 alongside his old comrade <a href="spotify:artist:1FShOLBBMvb0NoMRL6lob2" data-name="Joachim Nordquist">Joachim Nordquist</a> forming the band <a href="spotify:artist:6UyeTmNwAVthsa512Jurbz" data-name="Breathing Eyelids">Breathing Eyelids</a> which embraced a significantly more alternative and electronic sound while still retaining their old influences.
