Johann Pätzold is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist and music activist from Northern Germany.
In 2014, he initiated the protests to prevent the closure of the historic "Volkstheater" in his hometown of Rostock, with which he now closely works. Once it was saved, he travelled to the Mediterranean to save lives during the height of the European refugee crisis.
The pieces on his new album "Chronos“ were written during these times, and deal with these experiences and much more. The music from Secret of Elements has been used in Dior fashion shows and HBO programmes. “Chronos" is set to be released April 23rd, 2021.
