Initiated in Jakarta in 2021, Serdadu Sam is a solo indie project that debuted with the single "Kami Adalah Badai." This was followed by the 2022 EP Rencana Tiga Belati, which featured the AMI Award-nominated track "Agrippina" (Best Progressive Production Work). In 2023, Serdadu Sam released "Setengah Tiang," a reinterpretation of legendary musician Harry Roesli’s work.
Serdadu Sam's explorative and adventurous sound—influenced by the elegance of Genesis, the melodious crooning of Morrissey, and the genius of Brian Wilson—will culminate in the debut album Kronik, releasing January 16, 2026. While a solo endeavor, Serdadu Sam collaborates with brilliant musicians in the studio to bring these artistic visions to life.
