Sharleen is a Swiss-Canadian alternative rock band.
The band consists of Thierry Fournier (songwriter) on guitar and vocals, Johan Strohmeier (composer) on guitar and bass, and Olivier Solioz on drums.
The band was born in 2021 from the meeting of Thierry and Johan (Shake Mamas, Sivell, Filip Chrétien), self-taught musicians with stage and studio experience. They share a common spirit and an alternative rock sound. Their desire to work on original compositions enabled them to quickly put together a psychedelic grungy repertoire of some twenty tracks, alternating between calm and fury and light and shade. After a series of regional concerts in 2022 and 2023, accompanied by various musicians, they officially integrate Oliviez Solioz on drums.
Sharleen then worked on the recording of 5 tracks, which came to fruition in December 2023 at the Studio du Faune near Rennes in France with the help of sound engineer Romain Baousson (Dominic Sonic, Archimède, Beau Bandit). These 5 tracks were mixed and mastered by Bruno Green (Bruno Green, Santa Cruz, Miossec, Detroit, Matmatah) and are now ready to share with the public.
The band is now looking forward to performing its songs live, and is already working on the pre-production of the new repertoire, which will be recorded later in 2024.
