Saxophonist and composer Simon Dufour developed his professional accolades in Chicago in the 2010s and has built a reputation as a go-to saxophonist for all things that blend jazz, hip-hop, and soul. He has performed and recorded with Lizzo, Saba, and Gryffin among others. He also led the popular Chicago based hip-hop/jazz group Dassit. Born and raised in New York City in 1988, Simon was deeply influenced by New York's thriving hip-hop and jazz scenes; those sounds have been a constant source of inspiration for his music. Simon moved back to New York City as recently as 2021.
