Bronx-raised artist vsteeze began writing and recording her songs on a webcam microphone during her last year of college. Delivering graceful and witty rhymes over Jazz laced Hip-Hop tracks, vsteeze accrued a following on Soundcloud and performed small gigs in her home city New York for the next couple of years. Influenced heavily by artists such as Digable Planets and A Tribe Called Quest, vsteeze has a vibe reminiscent to the sounds originating from the 90s era of Hip-Hop.
Within a matter of weeks of meeting online, vsteeze and London based artist Funky DL mastered a 4-track EP, "The Lilac Pack” released March 2021. This jazz inspired debut demonstrates the fresh and vibrant sound of vsteeze’s playful lyricism, coupled with D's pristine, sophisticated production.
After wowing audiences with their debut EP “The Lilac Pack”, vsteeze and Funky DL followed up with a sweet, liquid, and smooth set, “The Honey Pack” released July 2021. This quartet of tracks capture the sun beaming feeling of the summertime! For the love and for the love of the people.
