Born out of a shared love of ska & punk, and a post-pandemic need to let loose, and skank it up, a group of musicians and friends in Montreal put together a project called Ska Sound System to go wild, have fun and make people dance and sing.
Featuring members of Montreal bands (Grimskunk, Me, Mom & Morgentaler, Colectivo, Francbâtards, Van Hornies, Blue Monkey Project), this group has no pretension other than to spread good party vibes through a diverse array of old school and modern ska & punk through the music and inspired by bands like Sublime, The Clash, the Specials, Operation Ivy, Rancid, Toots & the Maytals, Madness, etc… all with a touch of international and latin ska.
