Born in Christiansburg, VA, Skaai is the son of a Korean mother and a Chinese-based Malaysian father. Growing up, Skaai has studied in Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Canada, and the United States apart from parents living in Japan. During his years at a Middle School in Atlanta, GA, he encountered Hip-Hop music as a genre which later inspired his career as a rapper. Starting rap after graduating from an University in 2020, he was rapidly spotlighted for his unique musicality in the Japanese Hip-Hop Scene through a Hip-Hop survival TV show “ラップスタア誕生” run by AbemaTV, following by his first and Second Single “Period.” and "Nectar.". Tagged with the fresh producer uin, Skaai has showed smooth and edge-cutting rapping and emotional singing skills on a diverse tastes of beat.
