Skodi

Skodi is a rapper and producer who grew up in Miami, Florida. She moved around between the DMV area and her family’s hometown of Newark, New Jersey in her earlier years before settling in South Miami. As a result, Skodi’s sound has a very unique blend of various outside influences. Skodi started rapping as early as 8 years old, saying her older brother and uncle having rap battles at home sparked her interest in the craft. She also credits her mother for her start, as she was a DJ in her early years. Skodi started releasing music as early as 2017, however many of her earliest songs have been deleted resulting in “FWM”, which was released in 2018, to appear as her first song. By this time, she started to make music along side the early members of the rap group <a href="spotify:artist:13ut2kfXGzhHlghB66wAZ8" data-name="South Strip">South Strip</a>. <a href="spotify:artist:2kD3pu7Em7Ej97PtD9AwB5" data-name="Constant">Constant</a> was her only producer (outside of herself) between the years of 2018 to 2020 before branching off to work with more producers. Skodi made a name for herself in the Florida’s underground performing along side artists like <a href="spotify:artist:2s6AjZFa07OzZVVcMFCG0H" data-name="Snow Banks">Snow Banks</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1vb1XqzyNMQ16BqbxRz5BV" data-name="Wifisfuneral">Wifisfuneral</a>, and the members of <a href="spotify:artist:15UsOTVnJzReFVN1VCnxy4" data-name="XXXTENTACION">XXXTENTACION</a>’s rap collective “Members Only”. Skodi’s popularity began to jump after her song, <a href="spotify:track:4CnIKNoqkqT3RqrMWqOlSO" data-name="Sauce EM UP">Sauce EM UP</a> was released and gained traction on Tik Tok. Shorty after she released one of her most popular songs to date <a href="spotify:track:6wWvTyHqGRM7Flv0CJQljY" data-name="Trap">Trap</a>, getting her co-signed by artists like <a href="spotify:artist:7KduBCxhfAMiQlhMOHL3IZ" data-name="Robb Bank$">Robb Bank$</a> and getting her placed on the line up at <a href="spotify:artist:1KV1kUwVWFHdF8J4GGiMkg" data-name="Rolling Loud">Rolling Loud</a> for 3 years in a row. Skodi continues to showcase her versatility and talent with more innovation each year.
