Angeleno singer-songwriter, sky, debuted in Summer 2018 with two singles “across the room” and “over and over” (featured on Netflix’s Dear White People), both showcasing emotional depth and soulful vocal tone. Sky's music is an amalgamation of influences; from modern RnB to Jazz (which she studied in college), to nostalgia and depth of an old soul hugged in a youthful perspective. With Sky, making music is all about chosen family. All of the music is made with her two childhood best friends and producers, Baca and Brandn. The trio aim to write about real, vulnerable experiences tapping into the collectives evolution and their pursuit of making meaningful, soulful music. Sky released her first EP, Good Grief, in April 2021 telling the story behind a journey through collective grieving and how good grief can be when you make it work for you.
Sky was recently involved in UK-based R&B artist, Hope Tala's, latest EP, Girl Eats Sun, on 'Mulholland.’ Hope is also featured on Sky's freshman EP alongside Marcus Semaj (Snoh Aalegra, Savannah Ré, Bryson Tiller).
