Slowey and the Boats are a mainstay in Philadelphia’s eclectic music scene. In 2012 band leader Isaac Stanford got some of his closest friends together to play the steel guitar instrumentals that he had been learning, and the rest is Philadelphia nightclub history.
The band is busy around Philadelphia and has been featured monthly at the legendary local music bar Dawson Street Pub in a residency that has now lasted more than five years. In addition to Stanford on the console steel guitar, the band is comprised of David Streim on keys, Nate Skiles on guitar, Michael Hlatky on Bass, and Fred Berman on drums.
