Slowpoke, born Zachariah Lopez, is a Mexican American artist from Corpus Christi, Texas. Growing up in the 1990’s surrounded by the influence of “money, sex, drugs, and gang violence (Product of Environment);” in addition to the screwed up / slowed down culture of Texas birthed an original perspective expressed through an unique voice over ominous melodic music.
After the success of both "Barrel One" and "Barrel Two;" Slow’s music was spreading and being accepted throughout the country. While working on his third album, “Self Titled (My Demons),” he reached out to label “Urban Kings” to collaborate on a song titled “What’s Really Real” with artist @ChinoGrande. The song was leaked on YouTube going viral and landed an opportunity to appear on the compilation album “Street Anthems, Vol. 3.” This release caught the attention of @MrCriminal who extended an invite to join the line-up for his upcoming compilation series “Gang Bang Symphonies.”
In addition to working with West Coast hard-hitters such as @Ybe he’s also had the opportunity to collaborate with “Dope House Records’” legends @Grimm @LowG @JuanGotti and @Rasheed
