SOBI is a London-raised, Hanover-based singer-songwriter blending heartfelt indie-pop with folk and country influences. Born in Madrid to Sri Lankan parents, she began writing songs at 16, drawing early inspiration from artists like Laura Marling and Lianne La Havas. Her music is defined by tender vocals, emotional storytelling, and shimmering guitar textures.
Following the release of her debut EP Home One Day, SOBI went on to release her first full-length album Beloved Child in 2024 — a deeply personal record inspired by motherhood. The album earned her sold-out shows in Hanover and London, and a successful tour across Germany and the UK. Her single "Honey Honey" was featured in the Netflix film Love at First Sight, bringing her sound to a global audience.
Known for her intimate live shows and soul-stirring lyrics, SOBI is currently working on her sophomore album, Life Will Be Easy Again, due for release in early 2026.
