De Joie, meaning “of joy” in French, is the epithet of singer-songwriter Kaley Rutledge. Though based in Nashville, Kaley has found a sense of home in her many travels, namely during her time spent in Western Europe.
Her debut EP, August, tells the tale of the four cities she visited, weaving her personal journey of self-discovery and vulnerability throughout each track. De Joie invites the listener into her story through powerful orchestral cinematic arrangements and strong, yet vulnerable lyrics and vocals.
