SO.Crates is comprised of Melbourne born and raised producer SKOMES and MC Cazeaux O.S.L.O, a California born Australian resident. Their sound is a culmination of their shared love for jazz, soul and hip hop in the vein of groups such as De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest and the late 90s/early 2000s Rawkus era.

After self-releasing the local classics <a href="spotify:album:33iUK5zFGj2wwpOFS6lfhx" data-name="Static Methods">Static Methods</a> and <a href="spotify:album:7lAA3jX73KEnYamFQt1AlL" data-name="Static Methods Replays">Static Methods Replays</a> on vinyl back in 2017, followed by the sun-drenched collaborative LP <a href="spotify:album:4KSjbSunhGlKAUDfVQPbon" data-name="Sunset Cities">Sunset Cities</a> with rapper <a href="spotify:artist:0ciHGUC86265ZD8uPVEs4N" data-name="Nelson Dialect">Nelson Dialect</a> and beatmaker <a href="spotify:artist:0ZDOVur7qu2G1k9DVDRAuw" data-name="Alnitak Kid">Alnitak Kid</a> in 2018, the pair dropped soul-infused classic <a href="spotify:album:3sLEYa7UTQgBVDBN743s90" data-name="Mama Danced on Soul Train">Mama Danced on Soul Train</a> to wide acclaim. Now, after many collaborative ventures and single joints, the duo arrive with <a href="spotify:album:48a5Djpw3TQRhMwO6sJpYK" data-name="Malcolm After Mecca">Malcolm After Mecca</a>, a debut, full-length, double-LP jam packed full of goodness.

With a legacy built on releasing a steady flow of cold-crush records and delivering uplifting live performances to the party people, SO.Crates prove that hip-hop’s golden era is not a lost date in time, but a foundational state of mind.
