SOIA's sound is adorned with playful melodies, and fuses HipHop, R&B, NuSoul and Jazz over saturated and ample beats. The downright lyrics offer deep insights into SOIA’s soul. The music revives her musical roots of the nineties and molds it with her intrinsic love and appreciation for Fusion Jazz, Soul vocalists, East African pentatonic and West African drum patterns. Her work ranges between sensual soul and expressive contemporary R&B, neatly packed in a shell of electronic synths and keys. The electronic Hip Hop beats make your head nod while SOIA’s voice makes you close your eyes in delight.
She has appeared live at festivals and radio shows such as SXSW, BBC London, Sonic Visions, Electric Spring, Waves Vienna or Popfest Vienna, as well as at numerous club gigs from Cape Town to Taipei. Current collaborations include Moo Latte (Denmark), Pale Male (Austria) and P.U.D.G.E. (USA). To further exteriorize her message, she started producing music on her own with the first single „Wrong From Right“ feat. Cam Rose and will be releasing her first solo-produced album "Euphoria & Paranoia" in 2025 on her label Tiger Milk Music.
Beforehand, Pale Male and Soia cooked up a sonic offering taking shape as “Dirty Angels” EP which was released to the wild in October 2024. In April 2025 her collaboration EP with Moo Latte called "Spiritual Housekeeping" was released.
