Solae is a Post-Black Metal band from Germany, based in Nuremberg, whose members were previously active in bands such as Vomit Disease, Death To Life, Monvmentvm, and The Aurora Project. What began as a loosely structured transitional project has since evolved into a solid formation that has carved out its own sound between atmospheric force and melancholic heaviness.
Musically, Solae fuse blazing, searing riffs with subtle influences from (melodic) death metal and other metal genres, while quieter passages allow space for emotional depth. The vocals shift between powerful growls and piercing screams, underscoring the dark intensity of their lyrics. These are marked by existential despair, encroaching darkness, nihilism, and hopelessness—yet are always permeated by a search for redemption and a yearning for escape, whether in annihilation or in death.
