A specialist in woozy and hypnotic singles, Atlanta rapper Solo Lucci broke through in 2015 with his track "Whip It." Along with several strong mixtapes, the rapper also had a role on the 2017 season of VH1's rap reality show Love & Hip Hop. He returned his focus to music with 2019's mixtape The Recipe.
Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Lucci landed in Atlanta, where he launched his career in 2012 with the track "RIP Tupac." When the video for the cut reached over half-a-million views, the rapper celebrated with his mixtape Fuck Your Favorite Rapper, released in 2013. In 2014 he was joined by singer <a href="spotify:artist:0z4gvV4rjIZ9wHck67ucSV">Akon</a> for the track "Killaz & Drug Dillaz," which landed on his mixtape Life After Death. In 2015 he released the single "Whip It." In 2016, Lucci featured on two notable songs, <a href="spotify:artist:7bXgB6jMjp9ATFy66eO08Z">Chris Brown</a>'s "Wrist" and <a href="spotify:artist:50co4Is1HCEo8bhOyUWKpn">Young Thug</a>'s "Special."
