Something About Lola is a pop-punk band from Semarang, Indonesia. Our band name came from “There’s Something About Marry” movie (1998), but we change into “Lola”, just to make it more catchy and easy to remember. Formed in 2006, our member are Firman Ferdiansyah (vocal), Rusdiana Dwi Kuntjoro (guitar), Hendragita Prayudi (guitar), Almando Charles (guitar), Singgih Bayu Pramono (bass), and Trianto Nugroho Konstantin (drum). Our music inspired by New Found Glory, Fall Out Boy, etc. and we shape it in our way, from The Atlas City to your stereo.
Besides composing and gigs of course, we’re done a live session at Lokananta, Surakarta in 2016. Most of our song is about love, live, history, white knight to Noah the ark. Instead of deliver it in an explicitly clear lyric, we prefer a profound semiotic sentences so our audiences can handout in any POV. Well, we even have a song that the title did not mentioned in the lyric at all, because “the best part of writing a song is to name it”.
